Marin Allred, General Manager and Coach
Born in Anchorage, Alaska, Marin Allred grew up enjoying skiing, soccer, volleyball, and flag football. At the University of Dallas, she played soccer and needed a better way to train. In 2012, she discovered CrossFit, which took her soccer to a new level. Marin was named All-American that year and played the best soccer of her life.
Marin now enjoys CrossFit as a competitive outlet and community. She began coaching CrossFit in Scottsdale, Arizona in 2014, where she earned her Level 1 certification. Marin developed her skills under the mentorship of Ben Plotnicki, Rob Pyfer, and Samantha Wright at Urban WarFit. There she had the opportunity to help train elite football players and CrossFit Games athletes. In addition to her Level 1, Marin has her CrossFit Kids certification and USA Weightlifting Level 1 Sport Performance Coach.
Marin tries to balance a fun environment with the strict, no-screwing-around methods that lead to good technique. She is both the ‘good cop’ and ‘bad cop’ of Miners Town, aka, the General Manager. We’ve stopped counting how many hats she wears.
Like any respectable citizen of Park City, Marin has two dogs – Summit and Supai – who were supposed to run and mountain bike with her. However, Marin, the CF coach par excellence (that’s French for f***ing awesome), cannot get her dogs to run more than three miles. As such, we recommend that you do not enroll your dogs at Miners Town.
