Here at CrossFit Miners Town fitness is for everyone. It doesn't matter if you are out of shape or competing at the highest level. CrossFit Minerstown

As we are constantly making an effort to make your experience better at the gym we decided to add a shower/locker room/remodeled bathroom with an operable toilet and as a result we needed to dig up a old sewer line. We have had workers there for two 10 hour days digging out 20′ of completely rotted through sewer line and are still digging to find an intact line to tie back into. As a result of the amount of dust, dirt and not completed work, we are canceling classes to ensure we do a thorough clean up! We will be good to go on Tuesday and for the rest of the week! I apologize for any inconvenience. Check the blog I will put up 3 home WOD’s for you to do!! The men doing this said they will be there until at least 9 tonight and are brining up a third guy to help. Here is what is happening as I am posting this.

It is important to know and understand where our “Hero” workouts come from. We don’t do many of these because they are grueling and that is the point. People from whom Hero workouts are made for are done so because they have paid the ultimate price for us, they gave their life/lives to protect our freedom here, and for that price their named workouts reflect that! Please read below to understand where this Hero workout came from.

On Nov. 5 at 1:34 p.m., a terrorist named Major Nidal Hasan attacked fellow soldiers and civilians at Fort Hood, Texas. When the shooting ended, he had killed 12 soldiers and one civilian and wounded 43 others.

Spc. Frederick Greene, 29, of Mountain City, Tennessee, Pfc. Aaron Thomas Nemelka, 19, of West Jordan, Utah, Pfc. Michael Pearson, 22, of Bolingbrook, Illinois, and Spc. Kham Xiong, 23, of St. Paul, Minnesota, along with eleven of the wounded were active CrossFitters in the 20th Engineer Battalion, home to Lumberjack CrossFit.

This workout is in honor of these soldiers.
